With a rich 82-year history, today’s revitalized club serves a new generation of Cape Cod residents and visitors. Our semi-private club, located in picturesque Wellfleet, is open to the public year round.

Golfers will find the “links style” 9 – hole golf course, with 9 back tees for a full 18 holes of play, deceptively challenging! Located on 106 acres adjacent to the Cape Cod National Seashore, the course delights players with its spectacular views of undeveloped woodlands, Wellfleet Harbor and the lovely Herring River.

Tennis players can choose from 3 NovoPro turf and 1 asphalt court with affordable membership and daily rates.

Sailing Memberships are available for a season of for short- term visitors. You must be a member to enjoy our lovely private beach and to launch boats from our waterfront, but the cost is well worth the relaxed feeling you will have after a day on Wellfleet Bay.

Over the years, residents and visitors have chosen Chequessett as an ideal location for a true Cape Cod style event. The Boathouse deck offers stunning waterfront views for formal or informal gatherings, from weddings to rehearsal dinners, to reunions and that special birthday celebration or anniversary. With two banquet rooms and a private beach venue, Chequessett can accommodate up to 160 people.

Chequessett’s Kids Camp introduces children 7 – 14 to a lifetime of enjoying golf, tennis and sailing. Headquartered in our private boathouse on the shore of Cape Cod Bay, this fun filled day camp runs July and August from Monday through Thursday. Kids bring their own lunch; we supply great counselors, trained instructors and a ton of summer fun! Limited enrollment ensures and ideal camper to counselor/instructor ratio, affording every child and enriching, delightful experience tailored to his or her needs.
